Please meet our volunteer service crews. Our service crews attend on an 8 week rota which allows them to book in their weekend in advance.
They are a great bunch of people but with such a big site, we are always looking for more volunteers to help out. Should you be interested in either volunteering whilst maybe learning some new skills yourself, then please contact us today to find out more of what's involved. If you are a lone volunteer, one of our crews would be very happy to welcome you or alternatively, you may be interested in helping for short periods of time.
Through the crews, you are welcome to stay on site for free, for 2 nights, usually Friday/Saturday, volunteering during the day on Saturday and Sunday and relaxing with great company during the evenings. We provide full training while you are on site and for those who have been with us a little longer, we also offer additional activity training through different National Governing Bodies. This in turn allows you to run activities with your own youth groups.
All volunteering is welcomed as everyone giving their time and skills is so greatly appreciated by all at Walton Firs.
This service crew is made up of explorer scouts based in Fulham, SW London. Led by Jamie, the crew have been helpng at Walton Firs for several years.
This service crew are from a longstanding group originating from Richmond upon Thames. With one of our oldest members of crew, they are now led by Matt and we are looking for new volunteers to join this crew. We are very grateful for their many years of support.
Service Crew 3B
The ladies of the crew world, they started strong and keep on going. They all have a guiding background which has helped Walton Firs so much.
We are so proud that a member of this crew has also offered additional support by becoming a Patron of the Foundation's Charitable Trust.
This crew is also another of our longstanding groups and have been "crewing" since the 1980's. They have witnessed many changes during their time with us and we remain grateful for their continued service.
