Angel and Tomahawk Throwing Safety Course

Our Angel and Tomahawk throwing safety course is ideal for those interested in teaching this exciting sport to beginners.

The course is run for 3 hours and will be split between the morning and afternoon session. Each course has 14 spaces available.

Those who successfully complete the course receive a completion certificate, enabling them to run introductory or 'Have-a-Go' sessions that are in line with Scouting regulations.

We are looking at booking another course this year so if you are interested, please get in touch and we can reserve a space for you in advance.

ERCA - European Ropes Course Association

Our ERCA Instructor course is ideal for those interested in teaching this exciting activity to all types of groups, not just beginners.

The course is spread over four days with a maximum of 8 people on each. 

Those who successfully complete the course receive a nationally recognised qualification that enables them to run activities on all kinds of High Ropes courses. Depending on the course being run this can include Low Ropes or Rescues.

Archery

Our Archery Instructor Award course is ideal for those interested in teaching this exciting sport to beginners.

The course is spread over two days with a maximum of 12 people on each. 

Those who successfully complete the course receive a Governing Body qualification, enabling them to run introductory or 'Have-a-Go' sessions at activity centres across the country.

The next available course is scheduled on the 19th/20th November 2023. Please contact the office for more details.

First aid

We offer two first aid courses that run in our activity centre.

EFAW- emergency first aid at work course can be completed in a day.

FAW- First aid at work course needs to be done over 3 days.

Health and Safety in the work place Level 2

A thorough understanding of health and safety is essential in all workplaces, regardless of job role and industry. This accredited Level 2 Health and safety course ensures that you understand the most common health and safety risks in your workplace and the control measures that are needed to keep you safe.

The qualifiaction is regulated by the Regulated Qulaifications Framework (RQF)

The course takes up to 12 participants, the timeframe is 6 hours for the course. This can be achived over a period of 3 days with 2 hours per day. But must be completed within 3 weeks. 

Fire Safety principles Level 2

Fire safety principles Level 2 - This course introduces learners to the risks associated with fire and the controls available and provides a valuable introduction to the key principles of fire safety.

The qualifiaction is regulated by the Regulated Qulaifications Framework (RQF)

The course takes up to 12 participants, the timeframe is 6 hours for the course. This can be achived over a period of 3 days with 2 hours per day. But must be completed within 3 weeks. 

Manual Handling in the work place Level 2

This manual handling course helps employers ensure that they and their employees are suffeciently trained in the principles and practices of safe manual handling. The course provides the necessary infromation and training for organisations to understand more about the risks assciated with the manual handling, how to undergo a risk assessment and how to ensure appropriate control measures are put in place.

It follows the requiremtns of the Manual Handling Operations Regualtions 1992 (MHOR) and provides a pracitcal guide for managing and carrying out safe and healthy manual handling.

The qualifiaction is regulated by the Regulated Qulaifications Framework (RQF)

The course takes up to 12 participants, the timeframe is 6 hours for the course. This can be achived over a period of 3 days with 2 hours per day. But must be completed within 3 weeks.
