Walton Firs is fully equipped for your stay, whether your group is with us for a weekend away or a week-long adventure. Read more about our on-site facilities below.
Our large main car park is available for the drop off and pick up of groups and can happily accommodate coaches. We also have an overflow car park in one of our fields, available for larger bookings. Both car parks are central to all areas of the camp and within walking distance of all facilities.
Bottled gas is available to purchase in a range of sizes. Please enquire at Reception before your visit, or just ask the Duty Manager if you run out whilst on site.
Nestled among the trees is our open-air chapel. Fitted with benches it can seat approximately 30 people and can also be used as a classroom.
There is a freezer and a refridgerator in the service crew bungalow porch for campers to use. Anything left in the fridge/freezer is left at your own risk and responsibility.
Located in a tucked away corner of the site, our fire circle can be booked out by groups at reception. The circle is free to use and can cater for groups of all sizes and ages.
Our reception desk is manned all day during the week with a duty manager on call at weekends. All groups should report to reception when they arrive. Any queries about first aid can be made at reception with the duty manager.
The entire Walton Firs site is surrounded by a robust perimeter fence and key areas are also covered by CCTV. A duty manager is always working on site should any of our guests have a security-related query.
Our site shop is open upon request and provides clothing essentials, small gifts, stationery and badges, as well as snacks, drinks and ice creams.
Our new toilet block, opened in September 2016, features men's, women's and fully accessible disabled facilities and is fitted with underfloor heating. Showers are also available in the new block, located near the entrance barn. The building can be opened up if being used by a single sex group, providing more space. Additional showers and toilets for men and women are available at the block near the Pembroke building.
We have facilities available for the disposal of rubbish and ash from camp fires. Our commercial refuse area is located within the main car park and all rubbish is collected weekly. Bins for disposing of ash are also available in the main car park.
There are four drinking water taps dotted across the site. They are located close to our camp sites and indoor accommodation.
Our defibrillator is located in the service crew cabin at the north end of the site. This is a public access defibrillator that is fully automatic, so anyone can use it.
